2030 UNITED NATIONS AGENDA STILL ON TRACK ACCORDING TO UN SECRETARY-GENERAL

It seems that the eradication of poverty and dealing with exclusion will remain a top priority focus for the United Nations towards achieving their 2030 agenda.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has stated, with the occasion of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty that some 1 billion people live in extreme poverty and more than 800 million endure hunger and malnutrition but poverty in itself cannot  be measured in just pure income and that the UN 2030 Agenda represents a universal vision for peace, prosperity and dignity for everyone on a healthy planet, thus achieving this objective is inconceivable without fulfilling the first mandate of ending poverty in all its forms.
